Respecting and supporting scholars
I suppose that the most important element of teaching maths is to signify the beauty and the clarity of the topic while with respect to the study tempo of an particular learner. I believe in trusting in each and every student, the fact that each one has the ability to learn and do the maths delivered to them. I think that the intention of lesson is to provide each scholar with skill-sets and common sense to succeed and work in civilisation. Due to this, I prefer to deal with my students respectfully and to be as helpful as I can be in the education process while challenging them to find out other ways of thinking and fresh concepts and laws. I will definitely follow every specific learner's needs within reason of what exactly is real and what instruments are there in the classroom. I will anticipate to invest as much or more time and effort as I expect from my students. I will admit that I get as much to learn every year as my students, and I will be flexible enough to receive faultfinding and ready for new methods of teaching in an effort to extend to all learning styles.
My role in tutoring
I view my function at this stage as an authority figure, far in the same manner their actual school teachers are, still, also as an extra supplier of support and help. My function is that of an adviser as I do not teach the whole day day of classes as my master teacher does, thus I may be a source the children may use to obtain extra advice as well as can count on for support. My duty is also that of a scholar, so I see myself as an extension of my scholars, I am definitely learning through all of them what it really means to be a successful maths teacher.
The strategy I apply
Compared to a number of tutoring establishments in Normanhurst, during the regular academic year, I actually represent the information that the child has in his/her lesson. This means I don't request that learners do beyond worksheets and homework that are not really part of the learner's maths class, though rather, I train the learner in areas of his/her mathematics course which may be complicated as clarity and intensity of realisation, application of models, and test-taking strategies. Everything I do is related directly to assisting the student to better perceive the information from the maths lesson that she/he is getting and to improve the grade in that subject.
